C. da Silva is a traditional Port Wine company founded in the year 1862. Its current name has been defined in the beginning of the XX century, when Mr. Clemente da Silva inherited this company through his marriage. Since then it has developed itself mainly as an export company. The first steps have been taken in Brazil and USA but soon other markets followed, such as Europe and Asia. The quality of its wines has been internationally recognized and the focus on the Quality Ports, namely the Colheita (Single Harvest) Ports, makes this company one of the jewels of the Port wine sector.
